After all the best way to choose a provider based on reliability is by asking the neighbors how they like their ISP and finding out how much downtime they have had over the course of the year. Whether you are looking for DSL or Cable the choices are usually limited because not all providers reach every corner of the country.
So how do I find internet service providers in my area, if I’m moving or relocating to another state you might ask? You usually don’t have the luxury of asking for your neighbors opinion. Your best bet is to sign up with the more reputable ISP’s that have been around for quite some time and are known for their reliability. Find out if any of the larger players like at&t, Qwest, or Verizon have service in the state you are moving to.
