Boys & Girls Club Receives $30,000 In Latest Of Comcast Specials

Big Bend, Florida was the scene of a large donation to the Boys & Girls Club by a major internet provider, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. This latest in Comcast specials was donated yesterday to support one of the club’s programs which teaches children about computer technology with hands-on learning. The program, called Club Tech educates children between the ages of six and eighteen about technology tools. The tools provided will help these children both to succeed in school and ultimately give them the preparation they need to succeed in a modern work setting. The Club Tech program is run from a Tallahassee location and currently helps 130 kids in the area. The organization plans to use the money for furniture, computer upgrades and the purchase of updated software.
