Torrance, California

This year's Consumer Electronics Show In Las Vegas will have a series of next-generation routers and adapters. TRENDnet, a networking hardware and wired and wireless company has developed and will display their new set of wireless router and bridge at the Consumer Electronics Show today. There are two devices which will be showcased, and both offer 802.11ac technology, which is a new wireless standard that can accommodate speeds from 866 Mbps to 1.3 Gbps.

"New 802.11ac represents a huge jump in wireless performance," stated Zak Wood, director of global marketing for TRENDnet. "It will be able to easily handle a large number of wireless connections simultaneously. It will also be able to support extremely high wireless throughput at great distances from the router."

TrendnET's 802.11ac Router will greatly improve the wireless signal through physical obstacles using a 1300 Mbps wireless band and Beam Forming technology which will network mobile devices and laptops. The router's Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) ensures that only a single button touch is required to integrate other devices using the WPS.

The company's 802.11ac Wireless AC Media Bridge offers a high speed 1300 Mbps network for up to 4 media center devices. The bridge features four Gigabit ports for the connection of media players, internet televisions and other such devices. The Media Bridge also features WPS.

Both devices are said to be made available by the end of this year, with their prices ranging from under to over $200 per device.
